I have read that it is possible to chromecast flixster directly to your tv. With flixster video, your digital movie and tv collection is always with you wherever you go. When i use video download capture (evaluation version) i get a large mp4 file that won't play in anything either and some apps see it as only having an audio stream.

Other apps such as amazon prime video, the tv app on ios, and vudu will also let you download movies anywhere titles for offline viewing, so you can just use those instead.
